Donna began this position in January of 1997. Initially, she was the interim organist for McQuay Presbyterian Church. When the decision was made for the churches to merge (see the "Our History" section under "About Us") she was given the opportunity to play and discuss the possibility of a long term position. Even though the church had initially selected someone else, Donna was ultimately offered the job. Donna had never aspired to direct before, but given her love of God and music she accepted the position.

As Director of Music, Donna is responsible for all aspects of Musical Worship. She organizes and plans weekly performances for both the adults and the children. Without fail she manages to put together wonderful musicals and sometimes dramas for the various holidays.

Donna is married to Stanley Arthur Heiser, Jr. They have two wonderful daughters; Shannon and Lindsey.

Donna spent two years at High Point College studying Christian Education. She obtained a Bachelor's of the Arts in Religion and Philosophy from Averett College in Danville, Virginia.

When she is not busy with her family or her music, Donna enjoys drama, reading. bicycling, gardening and travel. She is most certainly a multi-talented woman and adds so much to our times of worship and fellowship.
